Media personality Toke Makinwa has publicly introduced her daughter, Yakira, for the first time as the child marks her first birthday.
Makinwa shared pictures of Yakira on her official social media page, giving the public its first glimpse of her daughter since her birth.
The unveiling comes days after the media personality revealed that she was planning a lavish birthday celebration for Yakira in London.
In a video shared ahead of the celebration, Makinwa reflected on how motherhood had changed her and jokingly called for people to treat her differently now that she is a mother.

“Y’all need to chat with me differently now. I’m the mother of a one-year-old. I’m flying her to London for her birthday party,” she said.
Makinwa also expressed gratitude to God for the experience of motherhood, saying she was blessed with a healthy daughter and that her prayers throughout her pregnancy had been answered.
The first public appearance of Yakira marks a significant moment for Makinwa, who had largely kept details about her daughter away from the public since her birth.
